It's OK to teach Christian Biblical Creationism in public schools, but as long as it is in a religion/literature class and not a Science class. It would also be interesting to teach some of the other (dozens of) creation stories from other religions.

Creationism is not the alternative to the theory of evolution, It's one of many possibilites, and it's not yet (perhaps ever) a scientific alternative.
