Maybe someone can help me figure out why this is such a hot deal. They had $400K in revenue over the first half of the year, $300K from Apple, a major investor in it. Seemingly, the press announcement on Cisco's investment in the company reads like for $49M, Cisco essentially licensed Akamai's technology (so much for keeping the rocket science to themselves). They are in the services business in competition to the big telco networks, but they don't really own a network of their own. Ideas anyone?
