If I knew the dynamic, I'd be a rich man. People who sold calls are busy selling stock to drive down the price. Those who sold puts are byuing in an attempt to drive it up, but they're buying it from the call sellers. The Market Makers are doing both simultaneously with filling your orders, but in reverse. Volume spikes, volatility spikes, half of them get richer, half of them poorer, and the Market Makers take home the bacon from the spread.
