The theories used to explain evolution do NOT claim we came from slime. They claim we evolved from simpler forms, probably from an original single celled organism. The theories take NO position on where this single cell came from though many theories of Origin (which are different than theories that explain evolution) have been advanced. IMO the first organism did arise spontaneously out of the organic soup formed from the comets that fell on the Earth after it cooled enough to allow liquid water to form. Comets and interstellar dust are both full of the organic molecules that form amino acids.
The theories used to explain evolution also take NO position on supernatural claims of any kind, pro or con.
Anti-biotic resistance is very good evidence of Natural Selection which is one of the engines of evolution. Claiming it does not prove we came from slime is a strawman, in other words obfuscation.
I have not seen the quotes from Sagan, Dawkins et al. that you present but even if they are accurate they have NO bearing as they are simply the opinions of individuals. Using this logic, because some Christian Identity preacher says we should kill anybody who isn't white, one can claim that all Christians are hate-filled bigots and Christianity should be rejected, an obvious absurdity.
Animal research applied to humans perforce assumes that we are related to animals, otherwise data derived from such experiments would have no application to humans. This is the basic assumption behind all such research. Yes, research on animals for Medical purposes IS tied at birth to
evolution like Siamese twins.
You claim to "love science" yet have continually in this discussion rejected the findings of science as applied to evolution while displaying an apparent ignorance of how the scientific method works. On top of that you proudly proclaim that you have not read a book about evolution since you got out of school.
You are very good at throwing up strawmen (straw armies in fact) when unable to answer with logic and facts but the fire of logic and reason make short work of them. |
