Dennis, I never thought I'd say this, it is something I didn't want to think of ever attacking, but when you ask about violence, what do we see on TV? In movies? What do we hear in music? Violence. Violent movies and television shows, violent music. The industries are making a killing off of violence and now we're reaping what's been sewn. I believe in freedom, I don't want to advocate restricting the arts, but What are we seeing and hearing now? Friday the 13th, Scream, The Matrix, Nine Inch Nails, Limp Bizkit, Marilyn Manson... And that's only naming a small few. Blame the Christians, blame the right, blame the guns... Well, I'm pulling the plug now. Christians have been around far longer than all this, so have guns, so has conservative thought. Why is the violence growing so rapidly now, with the liberalized media defending all this violence in the name of art? Sure, there was the inquisition, the crusades, nothing's perfect if humans are involved... are you then telling me that Christians have never been persecuted? It happened before, and I see it happening again, only much more deviously. Meanwhile, a double standard is set as liberalism cannot be found at fault. This post will probably be scoffed at, mocked. THAT is what scares me... |
