Sorry I did not post this info sooner but I was waiting for the Q3 sales report to come out.

The market is indeed very large and the company has proven this year that it can achieve equal success in the US market (important for growth). While BIT is the dominant supplier of these services today (there are a couple of small players), we do expect future competition. It is also possible that BIT could collaborate with a company offering complementary services to solidify its dominant market share. There are considerbale barriers to entry that will make it difficult to new industry participants.

Diversification is important to BIT and accordingly it has invested significantly in the technology and personnel to launch its career porfolio product which will ultimately create un-intrusive advertising revenue opportunities for the company. This investment has been significant and will likely slow earnings growth this year (in addition to the impact of near-full taxation for the first time). Earnings might be a little weaker than some investors had hoped, and perhaps weaker than our expections for this year as well. Fiscal 2000, however, should reflect the benefits of these extra initiatives. The company continues to build a substantial base of long-term subscribers which will provide a platform for year-over-year growth in revenues.

hope this helps,

Grant
