i saw interviews with various gold mining execs on CNBC Europe today in connection with the BoE sale. the CEO of GOLD(unhedged) said people selling gold at these prices are plain crazy, whereas the guy from ABX(most heavily hedged in the industry) said gold has lost it's monetary role, CB's will continue to sell it, it's now a consumer product. talking his hedge book basically.
