Leon:
It sure is an amazing story. As an investor, Iridium has opened my eyes to the fact that one cannont trust anyone when it comes to business. It's striking to me how Iridium is quickly fading away from the investing spotlight. When the lights lower and all is black, the Iridium restructuring team will release the news that shareholders will get the shaft and receive ZERO for their shares...Motorola (whom if this goes down as I expect it to) will pick up the pieces for pennies on the dollar as you stated, and off we go...er..um...I mean off THEY go to prosper at the sat com races.
Iridium is a hard lesson for me. I got caught up in the magic of the concept. I spent countless hours/days/weeks/months reading and learning. I developed a high degree of respect for the likes of Dr. Stianno, who told us and the world through those conference calls how great the system was performing and things looked peachy. I thought surely after Dr Stianno plunked down 500 large of his own cabbage that the system was for real. NOT! At this point....one can arguably say that there was some "not so accurate" propaganda and hype coming forth from Iridium, validating the mountain of lawsuits piling up at Iridium's door. Anyway...there's little point in going on here. Iridium is/was a big "screw job" and the people that are going to end up making the money are the people who already have the money. I would venture to guess Motorola will prosper greatly.
I really went for Mr. Richardson's line of "just give us a chance" from the shareholder's meeting as well. Folks that attended the meeting characterized him as "real." It would be nice if Mr. Richardson would send me a "real" email and tell me personally what's going on. And what about Mr. Mondale and the gateway holders that supposedly have a lot riding in equity? What's up with Mondale anyway. He was the mighty advocator for the equity holders. Is he still going to be speaking at Geneva Telecom. Seems as though Mr. Mondale is quickly becoming "ether" like. I/and others sure would appreciate a release from the Iridium folks letting us bloodied and battered shareholders know if there is any hope for us at all. Mr. Richardson's ad in the Journal didn't really address the shareholders at all. Bottom line....it's just that....the shareholders are at the "bottom line."

Respectfully...Dan Leniczek
