Marginmike: Will begin with the point that my skepticism about an outright sale of the handset division appears to be flat out misplaced. Just hope that the gain in getting a buyer who can help the Q in Europe or some other major gain is worked out. See any money gained in the transaction as secondary. And sure hope that the Q keeps firm control of the means to make wireless handheld appliances contain its most advanced components and software.

You were right, I was not.

On WCDMA, and ATT/BT need for it quickly, especially in Japan:

Since WCDMA is still in test mode - the terminal requires a truck to transport it - and there is no commercial operation so far anywhere, and there are not even agreed specifications for it yet, how soon will ATT/BT be able to utilize WCDMA? Would appreciate your view.

Best.
