My guess, car point will be sold. I'd be amazed if they sold CarPoint (but, then again, I was surprised that they sold Sidewalk). CarPoint seems central to their current consumer web strategy of providing transaction services. If Ballmer is making an announcement at a public event, I'd expect it to be something far more bullish for MSN than a sale of yet another strategic asset. I think we'll see either a purchase of a similar or complementary web property, or a strategic partnership with someone like Ford that will make it even easier to buy cars through CarPoint.
