Dur??? Spin-off is not a turn around. Believe me the smart guys understand this a lot better than you or I do. As for investing - I read investing as making informed decisions and yes... which exploit inefficiencies in the market...but this is not what I would consider an inefficiency.. this is what I would consider speculation - there is a big difference. We all have portions of our portfolios that are in risky investments. I choose to have mine elsewhere (actually RHAT right now..but I move it around). I was in JNPR from the IPO, got in RHAT at 100, owned XYLN, YURI, and ASND pre-acquisition, made a killing on ELON and on LATD. These were pretty quick hits. COMS is like turning on oil tanker... so I'm less attracted to it... I was when I thought a buy-out was in the works but as I investigated more I think a buyout is not too likely - pooling is a big problem. OG
