Ike, you are always giving us anecdotes, so I thought you might like be interested in this one ~ I sold some gold to put the proceeds towards the down payment on my house, and got a check, which I took to the local branch of the gold dealer's bank. Very busy today, long lines, but suspended from the ceiling over the line is a 24-inch TV, tuned to, now, what, do you suppose? CNBC. This is amazing to me, I've been in this bank before, maybe a year ago, and they didn't have the TV then. Where next? McDonalds?
