I think we need to distinguish between "evolutionism" (a science-based belief that has humans coming from proto-apes who came from bugs who came from mud...) from "evolution" (the observed capacity of populations of organisms to adapt to environmental pressure). I accept evolution as fact and I entertain evolutionism as a Neat Idea, but not fact.
