well that's a long subject, and you are one of the best.. I do a few things.. bookmark people like you. bookmark threads. do searches through news constantly set news, and price alerts. watch volumes. research name and tickers somewhat randomly. check the daily exchange info on up percentages, volumes, etc. read newsletters. build portfolios at yahoo and check the news that gets hyperlinked. read lots of spam at message boards. sit in chat rooms.. talks to lots of people thru ICQ, pms, etc. etc. then buy one and see what happens and hope I don't lose my shirt
