AVID's NAB according to TV Technology will feature products which higlight digital news gathering (DNG) as well as complete news room digital systems (AVID-NEWS a low-resolution desktop editor---for making EDL list?) Also AVID will show a AVID DNG 2.0 which is a HD digital news gathering recorder that talks to other AVID products; the latter enables many work stations in a shared setting. Now that sounds like a great idea....keep one big database of video/audio and let maybe 12 editors access the storage with their NewsCutters? I think the latter uses Fibre Channel I/O? Also, AVID is said to exhibit AirPlay 4.0, version 4.0 of Media Illusion, version 3.0 of Elastic Reality, EditCam (refinded to be more user friendly), and MediaComposer new features. Should be a fun NAB show! PS: My written $4 June15 naked AVID puts might expire with no value?
