Aj - Re: "With all that's been posted here via links and original analysis I have not read one other post questioning the stability of the Athlon.
If there are any known stability problems could you please provide the links?"

There was a PC retailer meeting held Thursday in Massachusetts - and AMD PERSONNEL demoed an AThlon system and a Pentium III system - to "show off" the AThlon speed.

The Athlon Machine kept crashing.

I talked personally to a PC retailer who attended the meeting, who told me the story - he waw EYE WITNESS.

I suggest you call AMD directly to confirm the story.

By the way - do to this unstable behavior, many PC retailers/White Box manufacturers are refusing to sell Athlon systems.

Paul
