FROM THE YAHOO BOARD: Yesterday (9/16/99), I spoke with: MICHAEL J JEFFRIES, EXEC VP/COO/CFO/SECRETARY of OSTE. He assured me there is no "hidden news" such as bad news from the patent suit they are in or a major advance by a competitor or terrible earnings news. He is a major shareholder himself and his personal feeling was that some industry analyst(s) poo-poo-ed the whole surgery-product sector because there are fewer surgeries that take place in the summer. He was not able to estimate this coming quarter's results because virtually no numbers from the month of September are yet in. He seemed intelligent and sincere to me -- I'm taking this dip in stock price as a buying opportunity. Historical growth in quarterly earnings looks good (see StockMaster.com -- plug in OSTE and choose "earnings" from the drop-down box).
