>>'m thinking about shorting AOL <<
What were you doing when AOL hit 175. Well I know is is dangerous to short at all time highs and with momentum, but when AOL started to decline from 130ish due to broadband concerns, or lack therof rather, about 4-5 months back you should have then attempted to short it.
ou may still make some money by shorting it now, but you are gradually increasing yor risk now with every point AOL goes down. Sure I can make money by shorting it but not worth the risk.

My logic is if it goes down too much, then I can get out when it eventually hits a 52 week high of 100 sometime, and given their business and coverage in wallstreet, they might someday, if it really goes down
