MArk,
What is sad? The fact that I will not say that any path is okie dokie as you do? I made it clear that I respect people as one of God's should. What is wrong with that? What should I say, that I am a follower of Christ but really any ol' thing will do? What a mush mouth I would be then, huh?
I was confronted with some of that last night.(Not a church function, just dragracing) A man of about 22 years old was around our group, he was way drunk, his language was very offensive, and we were talking about where he lived. Turns out he lives about 3 blocks from our "church" building, cause he said "I live on --- street , you know,a *#*&$ couple blocks from that #*$&% church where I *@%&@** WON'T be Sunday."(then laughing) . I then told him that was where I attended services and I WOULD be there Sunday, and I would be glad to pick him up to go. He made another remark to the fact that he would be way too hung over Sunday morning, and I again told him, I did not mind if he was, I would take him anyway. You know, he was not quite as beligerant after that?
So see, I can respect a person, without agreeing with his practice. To go further and say that I need to respect any belief/practice does not work. Lukewarm only gets spit out.
Ok , lets test your way. You have said in so many words that we need to accept any way any path. OK. What about Emiles? Why are you on his case if what you say is true? As a matter of fact what about the guy in Ft Worth. Was that not HIS way? What moral authority do you use to say no?
