<edit> I have less trouble entertaining Sagan's ideas (and I add here that nobody postulates that atoms spontaneously rearrange themselves into a Lamborghini ... that required our assistance) than the to-me-repugnant idea that God would 1) have a carnal offspring 2) leave the poor s.o.b. to dry out on a chunka wood 3) then sit back and giggle through Diaspora, Crusade, Jihad. "Buncha maroons." I reject any such God-concept ... as a virus. But hey, jmo.
