The daily "New America" page on IBD generally has three columns, each a write-up on an up and coming company. CMED has been in a couple of times, once last year and again a few months ago. NASI ('98), INIS ('98), HLIT (two-three months ago) and my CTAC (last Saturday) have had turns. I could see our GUMM, CAMP and IMCL as candidates, as well as SDIX, once it gets a bit more expensive. Monday's are Gadzoox Networks (ZOOX), Pinnacle Holdings (BIGT), and Volt Information Sciences (VOL). A write-up is usually good for a $1-2 spike, sometimes it'll hold and advance more, sometimes it'll prompt a selloff. If you aren't in, "at market" is usually the best price for at least the first few hours.
I was all set to sell INIS last year at $18 when it made the Saturday-Monday edition. Traded to 33 in four days, before falling back. Sold at 27, the difference paying for decades of subscriptions (g). |
