Could it be that the analysts (who
are out on a limb for intc) are disappointed that intc did not preannounce better earnings for Q3? After all, the stock
had only started moving up in June after a very depressing first half.


If the first half for Intel was very depressing, how would you describe AMD's? Having little to no patience, I'll answer the question myself: any word describing what AMD's mood should be for their first half, short of suicidal, would be light.
