VISX and BEAM et al....
I notice some have said they were disappointed BEAM hasn't moved up much in the past several days.

Although I've always kept an eye on BEAM (no pun intended)after trading it successfully during its big runup, and bought some several days ago when the price was down, my motivation for doing so was brought on by a personal experience with my 80+ year-old father the week before. I think investors might not know the extent of laser surgery's reach---perhaps some of the medical types here can elaborate. It seems to go much further than just correcting nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigamatism.

On a personal level....., my father has always had serious vision problems. Nearsighted all his life. Had cataract surgery last year. Suddenly in the past few months, one of his eyes worsened dramatically. Doctor admitted him to the hospital a few days later for a laser procedure that I don't fully understand but it wasn't the standard LASIK thing.

I dropped him off the at the hospital, picked him up two hours later, we went to lunch. He acted and looked as though nothing had been done. Yet he was ecstatic that he could see better! Checked with him yesterday----still ecstatic, admiring his doctor's diagnosis, thankful for laser surgery. I was impressed. The aging of our population is going to make this technology into a VERY big deal, in my humble opinion.
