Tejek,

Do you ever read Engels posts over here? You get all hot and bothered over antagonistic responses TO him but you
never, never ever criticize his intial posts that start the problem in the first place.

I'm not going to unravel all the posts to come up with the perfect diplomatic most fair to AMD and Intel and all their backers post. Au Contraire, when I see a phrase like "very depressing" attached to Intel's first half, stated on an AMD thread, I've got to be on it like white on rice. AMD's stock history is so bad that, for example, all the fervid AMD backers from back when SI was just getting started, are gone. Now, here we are with a whole new set of folks touting a rosy future, you included. OTOH, with Intel, I can name you ten strong backers right off the top who've been here on SI since '96 or so. I guess they didn't get too depressed in 1H99, did they?

I guess one could conclude that one of the hardest things to do would be for an Intel backer to see the AMD backer's point of view, and vice versa.

Tony
