Ed,

Sorry I didn't respond before. You were asking about the newer 128 model. I have the "pro".

It works great! Mostly I just watch TV on my computer with it because my monitor is bigger than my real TV. It gives a real decent picture.

The capture works well. I believe it looks as good as the original for same-speed playback. Stills aren't that good. This may be something that is improved in the new generation but I'm not sure. I really don't understand the technology that well.

The ATI tech support is very good. You might call them to get some answers. The 32MB version has a hardware enhancement besides the extra memory, so you might ask them about that too.

Maybe you could order the 16MB card this weekend using the pay-by-check option to lock in the free shipping and good price, and then after talking to ATI on Monday you can decide whether to cancel the order or not.

Note that the capture feature is not supported in NT but I'm pretty sure it will be in w2000.

The video editing software that comes free with the card is pretty good (CGI), but I'm not at all experienced in that realm.
