Janice, there are some interesting William Wallaces in the court records.

One of them, with a birthdate in 1962, was apparently detained according to records that mention a mental health authority.

Another, William H. Wallace Jr., with a birthdate 11/2/1957, appears in several cases, including some misdeameanors circa 1991 and bankruptcy in 1992.

You seem to think that the latter person is Hapless Bill of LFT. I'm curious what drew you to that conclusion?

If William H. Wallace Sr. were dead, he presumably would appear in the Social Security Death database. A search of that database shows 13 candidates whose last residence was in Arizona. Only a couple of them have a birth/death date combination that looks plausible for someone who had a 41 year old son.

The best bet might be number 11, who died in zip code 85012 in Maricopa county in 1992, and was born in 1930. If we could find an obituary that mentioned a surviving wife, that would be a sure-fire test.
