If this had been a shooting in a hall filled with the following people: Homosexuals, African Americans, Jews, Native Americans, or even liberals, Janet Reno would have immediately called it a "hate crime". No further evidence would have been needed. That's because when you deal with the motivation of a crime, instead of the behavior, there is always a heuristic judgement to be made if the person kills himself>> Im not of the opinion that the media is slanted one way or the other. It has been my observed opinion that the media really doesnt care, as long as its a juicy story they can spin out of control for a couple of days. Or months, even better if possible. <g> But I must admit that it is a glaring omission of habitual zeal on the part of the media that they are not spinning this event as a "hate crime."
