Glenn, Update on earnings estimates from the NITE website, knight-sec.com As of Sept. 17, the First Call average estimate for 3Q is .34 (it had been .37 about a week ago). The First Call average for 1999 is now 1.48. Given actual earnings of .34 and .43 in Q1 and Q2, and given a 3Q estimate of .34, this is calling for earnings of .37 in 4Q, which seems a reasonable expectation, i.e., one that should not have to be revised down later and which is, hopefully, beatable. Also, based on the 1.48 FY99 estimate, NITE trades at a 1999 p.e. of 18. Gary Korn
