Thread,

There has been speculation for a while that Athlon business will not pickup until FIC releases its motherboards (and chipsets). I did not believe it before but based on the avialability that is showing up on Pricewatch, I guess the speculation was on the mark. (I believe FIC is expecting to ship over half a million Athlon motherboards for Q4)

I see this as good news and bad news. The good news is that AMD Q4 now appears to be in the bag. The bad news is that a lot of it depends on FIC. If FIC has problems, so will AMD. I would appreciate if people on the thread can keep the thread appraised of the status of FIC motherboards (especially if there are any glitches)

Good luck,
Chuck
