To start off the thread... One of the indicators I use is a trin and tick that I calculate myself. I use 65 of the large cap. stocks that often tend to mirror the S&P or have big moves that effect the market (e.g MSFT, CSCO, IBM, etc.) I use Qfeed (from Qcharts) and bring all the streaming quotes into Excel. From here I can easily use IF statements and basic excel math features to make a trin/tick or any other indicator I want from these 70 stocks. I also do the dv/dt (momentum) of these indicators but am still trying to find the ideal DT period.... I am still working on finding the best indicator using this approach and am looking for ideas.
