Xybernaut - through one man's eyes

There once was a stock, letters - XYBR
That tested our most moral fiber
We hoped and we prayed
But mostly we paid
Quite often became an imbiber.

In May came the word about Sony
A major spike up - no baloney
Could this be the move?
Were we in a groove?
Or would this move up be a phoney?

The big news at Comdex, they said
The dollar signs danced in our head
A hundred were sold
Or so we were told
Not long - we'll be out of the red.

Fourth quarter? The biggest one yet.
Some folks took on yet bigger debt
Oh, son of a bitch
A revenue glitch
It'll come the next quarter - don't fret.

Forty million for this year they say
Briefing dot com says "no way"!
We send them e-mail
Say XYBR can't fail
They write back and just say "Oi Vay"!

The warrants are quite nearly dead
Portfolios all gone to red
I'm sure they'll extend
There's fences to mend
To slaughter, the holders were led.

Deception? Dissention abounds.
No matter how shaky the grounds.
We don't know the score
Can't take too much more
So ugly, the gutteral sounds!

The stock is in free fall, you see
That means losses for you and me
Have we been misled?
Is XYBR quite dead?
And the funeral we've yet to see?

If only we knew - what's the scoop?
Just don't seem like we're in the loop
The e-mails from Steve
Just don't quite relieve
The feeling we're all in the soup

Then one day some sunshine appeared
As total despair quickly neared
A corporate club
A new info hub
Perhaps it is not as we feared.

John Moynahan opened the door
The shareholders' trust to restore
It's now been a week
More info, we seek
Won't be long til we know the score.

So John, if we seem sometimes cross
It's just cause we feel quite a loss
Of money and time
Of faith so sublime
Somehow we'll get our points across.

We're not asking much I don't think
We know things are not in the pink
Just give us the truth
Don't get too aloof
So we dont have to go see a shrink.

Thanks Xybernaut and John for this forum.

K.C.
