My daughter who is now in the 7th grade, went to a private independent religious school for the first 5 grades. Do you know she was introduced to most of the world religions in the 5th grade because they felt it was important for an educated person to know about them. Some of the more conservative parents weren't real happy about it, but I thought it was great. BTW, my daughter thinks I am too liberal.<g> The public school would prefer to leave a void as far as religions are concerned, but they will gladly teach you about the Bushmen and the Hottentots in world history! They may even be willing to teach you that the banana peels they used in place of condoms didn't slow down the aids outbreak. Cisco
