All my life I have always considered the Catholic Church the strictest of all conventional religions. I can remember as a young adult when the church eased up on some of it doctrine, such as easing the rule on "fish on Friday" and replacing Latin with English, but they were always the strictest.

Now, the Pope is usurping what is God's, and easing the rules on forgiveness and repentance. I wonder if it has to do with the volumes of incriminations coming out of their associations with the Nazis in WWII?
