Stew mentioned ( I think, tho may remember incorrectly) that Gemstar can qualify as a telecom equip supplier. But I am not quite sure how exactly.

I don't remember him mentioning that either. The only realm that the Telcos play in Gemstar's success is that they can deliver Gemstar products to PCs and all Internet appliances (and maybe PCTVs, AOL TVs and Web TVs?) using DSL as the delivery boy. In that regard, we wish your Telcos great success. :)
