Robert... you and I are on the same page... of course imo the Bible is one of the worlds greatest books I've never read the Koran, etc.), the stories are fabulous and have stood the test of time... but it can't be taken literally, and it was written by men so by definition it is flawed in some ways... my question is, why do some factions insist that every word in the bible is hard science? Its as if in order to believe the bible, some feel the need to insist it is accurate scientifically. Did the notion of scientific hypothesis exist at the time of the Bible? Perhaps the real issue is applying the scientific methods of today to a 2000 yr old book, and that is at best naive, at worst lunacy.....
