Worst case of this i've seen in 5 years,

ABTX on 10-28-97.

In the preceding days, the stock was trading in a narrow intraday range near 10. On 10-28-97, the stock price action was no different. Then within 60 seconds, a multi-thousand share lot went thru as the price dropped suddenly below 7, then back to about 10. In the days following this, the stock price resume a narrow trading pattern on low volume at around 10.
