Do you know Mrs M. Grieve's classic work 'A Modern Herbal' .. written 1931, published in the 70s by Penguin ... there may be a US edition ... the one i have is from New Zealand, it doesn't show any ISBN number ... anyway, it's quite an extensive reference work, though it doesn't have all the now-popular tropical things like uña de gato [which works!] and ti tree oil and guarana etc, just what was known in England in 1931 .. which was a lot.
Oops, it just struck me that herbalism and homeopathy are two entirely separated, though related, things .... oh well, no knowledge here ... would a fleeting interest suffice? ... cheers to ya, Your Ripeness
