What I meant was, the assumption that one can't trust a woman, phrased as you did.
Your experiences notwithstanding, the way your phrased it suggested that all women are less than trustworthy--in their sources, their postings, whatever. This would have to disturb a woman like me, who works in "a man's world" and has great credibility there.
Moreover, if I post something on SI as "fact" or as somehow to be taken seriously, I am very clear as to sources--when I can, for professional reasons--can be.
Relations between men and women can be very complex and complicated, as has been discussed on this thread and, I am sure, will be discussed again. It does sound to me as though you have had some stunningly unfortunate experiences; I've had a few and been appalled.
Yet you and I can talk and I deduce that you do not find me an untrustworthy poster. (BTW, check out some of my postings on the stock threads, where I usually mistaken for a man!) Nor are E, X, Rambi, CobaltBlue, and a host of other women.
