Re: I tried this today (Sunday)... Sure, there's a new add each Sunday. Are you familiar with how newspaper adds work? They aren't paid for by the store, they are paid for by the companies that make the products in the adds (for almost all of the adds). A fixed percentage of a products price is allocated to advertising, when the store sends in copies of the ad, or invoices from TV or radio ads, they are rebated their ad allowance by the company. The reports are that sell through on the Athlons is nearly 100%, IBM and Compaq are moving as many units as they are prepared to ship, they have been put in front of the public, and AMD does not have unlimited advertising dollars - nor do they seem to need to spend them on Athlon at this time. When Camino and late when Coppermine appear, expect to see Athlon advertised once again, this time more heavily since there will be more product available to move at that time.
