Squire Joel, << That guy Schmitt of Omnipoint (being wireless, I'm not sure of Omnipoint's potential competitor position to Q) sounds like he is just taking shots at a rival >> George (Omnipoint) not a rival of Q. Runs a US GSM carrier. He very successfully ran the (at that time) largest GSM carrier in Europe then ran PrimeCo (resigning so far as I know, or as a poster here said fired - not sure which) when PrimeCo chose CDMA in August 1995 rather than GSM as their go to market technology. He's been their ever since but will probably cash out BIG time (given current valuation of OMPT) if the OMPT/VSTR merger finalizes. << does not indicate what type of chip it is TDMA, GSM, etc >> GSM states the article. - Eric -
