<"I see this as good news and bad news. The good news is that AMD Q4 now appears to be in the bag. The bad news is that a lot of it depends on FIC. If FIC has problems, so will AMD. "
What kind of Pretzel Logic is this ?

If it all depends on FIC, then HOW DOES AMD have Q4 IN THE BAG ? >

Can you see from the numbers I posted that FIC is only a part of the equation (big to be sure) and OEMs not depending on FIC will not be affected by any FIC specific problems?

Do you understand how Christmas builds work? Think about how that works, and you will see that AMD can make the numbers for the quarter but be materially damaged and end up looking terrible if one of the largest Athlon motherboard folks have problems.
