Mike, Is there an aspect of Gemstar's technology that enables competitors' applications? If so, that would prove my contention that the technology is a hybrid enabler/applications product. Sony, Thomson, Hughes and others have their own native guides in their satellite boxes under various names but you will see Gemstar licensed features such as one-touch tune, one-button record and a PIP guide feature that allows the viewer to search and watch TV simultaneously. I refer to this and some other Gemstar IP as enabling but defer to you and the others for its Gorilla Game interpretation. Regards Stew
