If you'd put down the crack pipe for a moment and try to buy a house or purchase gasoline, or buy a stock, you'd notice that all three have gone through the roof in prices.

Now if your argument is that those big expensive things that constitute the vast majority of public spending and savings should be excluded from "inflation" figures, then fine. But try to live in your fantasy world- you'll find yourself short of cash.
