< It's also a good reference to those who follow small biotechs and the powers aligned against any possible "revolutionary" medical discoveries>

Sounds like an interesting book... My observations during a 2 year experience of looking for answers to health problems in my family have lead me to the broad conclusion that one must take responsibility of ones health into ones own hands. No one knows what you do about what's going on, yet people trust doctors after one of two brief observations rather than think for themselves. Years of study and climbing the learning ladder in medical school/ PHD/ whatever is a fantastic and noble undertaking, but it can also create a scripted dogmatic system... in many peoples cases the ladder may be leaning against the wrong wall.... but the person on it will never know... only the patient, standing back, can make the call.

<Due in no small part to the AMA, Rockefeller Foundation and the powers that be in those days, the possibilities were driven underground >

I wish I could remember where I read that most major scientific discoveries come from 'outside' the particular field... a major paradigm shift that can't be seen by those toiling to solve the problem.... and therefore are usually met with skepticism, or of course worse.

Maybe if the medical profession would embrace diet and nutrition they could they could do much good for the field. Instead they're much too busy toiling away looking for the actual mechanisms [spending zillions on scientific studies] to halt final cronic states to do anything but badmouth the whole idea of nutrition [because they're aren't any scientific studies proving anything].
