See if there's a BJ Macdonald. That would cinch the season to 80-81. If not, it's definitely 79-80. Old BJ is the answer to a trivia question, "Who was the Oiler's MVP in the 80-81 season?" He played on a line with a Wayne somebody and got 45 goals to lead the team. He was traded at the end of the season and an Edmonton reporter asked Sather why he was trading a 45 goal scorer, to which Glenn replied... "A fire hydrant could score 40 goals playing with Gretsky."
