Any body has ideas installing NT over windows95.

Your Win95 is probably in a FAT32 partition. You can only install NT *over* Win95 in a FAT 16 partition. If the Win95 is smaller than 2gig you can convert it to FAT16.

In any case you should make a DOS boot CD with a CD driver on it..good to have no matter what.

Why not keep your Win95 working until you get NT up. Get a second harddrive and install NT on it..then if you like it you could delete Win95.

Can you boot the CD? Try putting the NT install disc in the drive..turn off the machine ..then turn it on and see if it boots to the NT CD. If it does you may be able to reformat and install from the NT disc..no guarantees. In other words if the install fails part way through you will have lost Win95.

ALSO..why not use Drive Image to clone your existing Win95? It will make a startup disk for you. Then you can reinstall Win95 if you have trouble. This will require a second harddrive or partitioning the first drive. What size harddrive do you have and how full is it?
