QUALCOMM WIRELESS BUSINESS SOLUTIONS EXTENDS OMNITRACS CONTRACT WITH CELADON GROUP, INC. CELADON EXPANDS ITS OMNITRACS MOBILE Communications Services to Canada and Mexico

SAN DIEGO, Sep 20, 1999 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- QUALCOMM Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), a leader in mobile communications for the transportation industry, today announced that Indianapolis-based Celadon Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: CLDN), has extended its OmniTRACS(R) mobile information management services contract by three years bringing the company to a five-year contract. With 2,300 line haul tractors fully equipped with the OmniTRACS system, Celadon has also purchased an additional 400 OmniTRACS units to assist with the expansion of its mobile communications services to both Canada and Mexico.
Celadon, recently awarded a contract from Volkswagen de Mexico that is expected to average $5 million annually over the next two years, has also recently announced the acquisition of Zipp Express, which operates a fleet of approximately 280 tractors between the United States and Mexico.
