You are correct. Why do people need hand guns?

The U.S. is a very violent country.
I don't like the news. I don't like violence..

Thankfully I live in Canada.

Keep your killers and your crazies.

Thanks

Of course all IMHO.<<<

I live in bear country, and every time I go for a stroll I strap on a handgun. I holster a handgun because it is convenient. (Now, I know I'm under-powered, but it is a purely defensive measure.)

But this is not the reason handguns should be legal in the US of A. Unlike Canada, this country was founded on the belief that the individual is king and ALL power resides in him, which he then delegates to elected officials. This was a fundamental change from previous political system where power resided with the king, etc.

Handguns, although not very effective, are a useful tool in projecting that power should it become necessary to do so.

That is: handguns are a necessary evil in the political process, (and a convenience for self protection)

Oh, and please, stay in Canada!

Regards,
Augustus
