Free Internet ISP for the USA:- NetZero will have 102.9 million outstanding shares. At the suggested valuation of roughly US$1 billion, or 9 to 11 per share. NetZero would be valued at roughly 224 times its revenue of $4.6 million in the year ended June 30th.. (I think NetZero have been on the go for 2 years) MindSpring and Earthlink trade at 8 and 6 times revenue, respectively.-- NetZero plans to sell 10 million shares and raise roughly $100 million in an IPO underwritten by Goldman Sacks.-----I guess this works like EBAY's IPO they have so many shares out in an IPO and release so many more million shares as time moves on if they can get Nasdaq permission.?? (If I remember correctly EBAY the auction company saw it's shares jump from Cdn$27.00/sh to over Cdn$1000.00/sh before the big split). Looks like two other companies, Web search and media network Alta Visa, a unit of CMGI inc., introduced free Internet access to U.S. subscribers willing to view ads. Another USA Internet company WorldSpy said it is offering access to the Internet not only free of charge,but also free of advertising, in a move designed to lure U.S customers to its site, this company plans to profit from commissions on transactions made at its online retail site, as opposed to making money from subscripions, as top access providers, such as AOL do.. Lots of ISP action coming down the tube in the USA and Europe.!!
