Oracle set for hardware link in European e-business

HILVERSUM, Netherlands, Sept 16 (Reuters) - Oracle is braced to
announce a large link-up with in Europe with a hardware firm to
exploit opportunities in Internet business, according to founder
and Chief Executive Officer Larry Ellison.

''I can tell you it will be big. It's a U.S. company, but our
European team have done this.
It's a large computer systems manufacturer and we'll announce it
next week... We'll be using each other's technology, their
hardware, our software,'' Ellison told journalists in Hilversum
on Wednesday evening.

Checked the possibility it would be Compaq with a guy who
worked for Digital Holland. Digital and Oracle have a long
relationship over here and work very close together.

I'm 95% sure after the conversation we had. But can not be
to detailled and there always is a possibility I'm wrong.

Bought Compaq this morning, one way or the other. They are
well positioned to benefit form the B2B-boom. And very cheap!
